I was scared thtt I was the only one that felt that way, especially since people keep making them. But to answer your question about why it's a popular choice for AMV, apparently because it expresses dark emotions that are relatable to conflicts in general, especially animes which are built on confilcts. Personally though, I think that the songs are so vauge that it's easy to find a way to realate to it. But still, you would think that all the kids making these video's would learn. The funniest part though is seeing at least one person commenting, asking "who sings this song?" And at that point you know that Linkin Park just got themselves another impressionable child.
